We’ve been cold on Scottie Scheffler ever since his win at The Masters. He shows very little emotion, doesn’t seem to have that killer instinct, and just isn’t the vibe we’d like to see from the up & coming pros on TOUR. We want the fireworks, the drama!!

But this dude does one thing and one thing only, play exceptionally great golf. Last season in 23 starts he had 17 top-10s, two wins, and made all 23 cuts. So far this season, six starts, five top-10s, and one win 🔥. Until last weekend, when he ran away with it on Sunday and coasted to a five stroke dub, it had almost been a full year since his last PGA TOUR win, something that was bothering Scheffler (his last win was the 2023 PLAYERS Championship).

While Scheffler’s exterior looks reserved and calm, he’s going into every tournament knowing he’s the best player in the world right now. After his win last weekend he was quoted saying, “I would like to be remember as a competitor.” Well, he certainly has the resume to prove it and he’s certainly proved us wrong. We salute you Scottie 🫡.

This weekend at The PLAYERS, Scottie’s looking to go back to back x2 and the books feel as though he’s a lock with him at +550 heading into the first round. We see no reason to fade this kid for the time being.

Major szn loading….. PGA TOUR players get a little tiny baby major this weekend to tune up for when the real majors start and they actually play against all the best in the world 😏… And the better deliver!!!

All eyes will be on the TOUR’s signature event, THE PLAYERS Championship. This event is on their home turf at TPC Sawgrass, where they’re now charging upwards of $650 for a casual round of play. With the season so far being largely a snooze fest and professional golf holding on by a thread, the TOUR has all of their best players in the field and a nearly perfect weather forecast. It’s now or never if you’re Jay Monahan #FIREJAYMONAHAN.

A narrative we’re following closely this weekend, we continue to be hot on Justin Thomas, who is showing all the signs of having what it takes to breakthrough (again) on TOUR (+2500 this week). Ya boy Shane Lowry is surging into the twlight of his career. After a typical start to the szn for him (a MC and finishing >T-25), he’s played well going into The PLAYERS with a T-4 and solo third the past two weekends (+4500 this week.

Mr. Reliable. we’re going back to the well and leaning into Scottie’s ball striking ability. As we said, the kid is hot and we’re not betting against his iron game. We’re taking Scottie at more than 13.5 greens in reg during round 1.

Shane Lowry is playing some G (and it’s not even the Ryder Cup). We expect him to stay hot in round 1 at The Players. We’re taking Shane less than 70.5 to open the tournament.

Our boy Min Woo doesn’t even have a picture?! He’s been playing great golf AND The kid loves TPC Sawgrass with a T-2 finish last year. Put some respect on his name and LET HIM COOK! We’re taking Min Woo more than 4.5 birdies to get things going tomorrow.
