The Sunday Sweat
AT&T Byron Nelson
Every Sunday, the LoopGolf team writes a newsletter for our community highlighting all the action around golf, betting and culture.
One of our good friends, Jeremy Wells, shot a final round 66 in New Mexico last week to qualify for the 2023 PGA Championship! Currently the Director of Player Development at Cypress Lake Golf Club in Fort Myers, Jeremy will now be preparing for his first major, which tees off next week at Oak Hill in Rochester, New York. Our boy has been grinding his whole life for a chance to compete on the biggest stage and we couldn't be more proud of him. So in the spirit of supporting our friends achieve their lifelong dreams, we're placing a massive first round leader ticket on him at +60,000. Have a day Jeremy! We're rooting for you brother.
Our creative team is so incredibly talented and they have continued to push our brand to new heights. We're excited to showcase their latest work below - "The Hype Video"
⛳️ Tournament: AT&T Byron Nelson
💰 Purse: $9,500,000
🎥 Watch: 3-6pm ET (CBS)
One week away from the PGA Championship at Oak Hill, players headed down to Dallas, TX to fine tune their game at TPC Craig Ranch ahead of the second major of the year.
If there’s a driver swing you’ve been working on ahead of chasing a major championship next weekend, now’s the time to battle test it. TPC Craig Ranch has the 6th widest fairways on TOUR. It should be a birdie fest folks! Over the past two years the average winning score has been 25.5 under par.
Jason Day has been trending upwards as of late. We love J-Day to get the job done tomorrow at the Byron Nelson and could be a sneaky pick for next week as well in the PGA Championship at (+4000). Check out this all-world flop shot from Day on moving day down in Texas:
Short-sided with no margin for error.
@JDayGolf played this flop shot perfectly @attbyronnelson.

Our allegiance at LoopGolf will always be with the PGA Tour first... but that doesn't mean we won't call it how we see it. With that being said, the Byron Nelson has been a bit of a snooze fest 🤷🏽♂️. On the other hand, LIV Tulsa looks like it has been the place to be this weekend in golf. Brooks Koepka looks to still be dialed after his run at Augusta, and could be a huge threat next weekend at Oak Hill.
Brooks led @SmashGC have climbed into 3️⃣rd on the team pylon thanks to shots like this 👏

Cam Smith, the LIV golfer with the highest expectation to make a run at the major championships, seems to be trending upwards after a disappointing week at The Masters. If you don't remember, the Aussie is a short-game wizard. His putting at The Open in 2022 where he won at the Old Course was one of the most impressive things in recent years in golf. He is +3000 ahead of the PGA Championship👀
Awkward stance? No problem for Cam

Outright Winner: We like Jason Day today at +700. That’s a $100 bet to win $700.
Why? Day has quietly been playing some great golf this year. In 15 events played, he has 11 top-25’s and 6 top-10’s, making his way all the way back to 35th in the world after ending 2022 at 112th. With his pesky back problems seemingly behind him and playing the best golf he’s played in a minute, we’re riding the Aussie to the finish line at TPC Craig Ranch.
